At the start of this past busy weekend of many Photo Sessions we got to go down to Purdue University (about 2.5 hours from us) and photograph Liz & Aaron's Fall Engagement Session! We're honored to be photographing their upcoming wedding next July at Purdue, so it was especially great to have pre-wedding time with them on campus. We started chatting with these two back in July about their wedding when they found us online and we have been planning their Engagement Session for months! We were so excited to finally get to meet their dog Cora and include her in their Engagement photos as well as photograph them at a lot of spots that we had all looked at prior to us heading down to Purdue.
We couldn't have had a more fun time with this little family! Their friends were so kind to some down and watch Cora during the moments that we were photographing just the two of them (thank you!) and everything went off without a hitch! Liz & Aaron are so down-to-earth, funny, and kind that it felt like we were hanging out with old friends- something I even said after our consultation with them this summer. Although we directed them a bit, they laughed it off quoting a movie that we sounded like. We even joked around with their friends about our dog who is currently in puppy training classes and laughed as they marched around with the Save the Date sign (getting suspicious looks from campus police).
To start the Session we had their dog Cora and them hanging out in the fall leaves on campus and then moved around the campus to some absolutely stunning locations. The light was beautiful at the end of the evening and we were so happy that rain held off for this nice fall day since it did sprinkle a bit an hour beforehand! We were able to photograph their Engagement Session in a record 10 spots (even having strayed from the side of campus that we'll be photographing many of their Wedding photos at next year)-! We're even more excited about their wedding than we were before.
We were even more honored to pay homage to Liz's mom in some photos.
To us, intimate moments and details are such a huge part of everything we do and we feel very connected to everyone we work with. We are right in front of you and going along with you every step of one of the most significant days of your life and we don't take that responsibility lightly. We hope we've captured your love and relationship accurately with our photos. Thank you so much Liz & Aaron for including us in your special moments & we hope you enjoy these images and the photos to come! We cannot wait to photograph your wedding next summer and meet more of your friends and family! P.S. Liz: You definitely have what a friend of mine refers to as "Disney princess eyes" :)
P.P.S. Prior to meeting Liz & Aaron for their Session, we both walked around scouting our chosen spots on campus and got to eat dinner in their Union. We also happened upon Waka Flocka (a rapper) playing around with the marching band out in a parking lot near us.
P.P.P.S. Up next on the blog for Weekly Wednesday on November 2nd will be the Serge family as well as the 3 generations of Yergler family! And following that on the 9th will be Sarah & Josh's Engagement!
