Just one year ago today we were sharing on Instagram some teasers of the Family Portrait Session with mom Stephanie, her daughters, her mom, and her sister (with her new baby daughter as well) AND Stephanie's separate Family Portrait Session with her immediate family of she, her husband, and their two daughters! Well, Stephanie just had another daughter Colette recently and we were happy to capture a Newborn Portrait Session of baby Colette within her first week of life! We mainly focused on photos of Colette in our studio with some fun props, but also were able to grab some portraits outside with Colette enjoying some intimate moments with her parents! Without further adieu, baby Colette in her first week of life!:
So sweet! Colette just wanted to be held, so we loved holding her while getting her ready to lay on the props in the studio! Having newborns in their first week of life swaddled up in a blanket is generally the easiest way to photograph infants, but we love that instead of being asleep for the Newborn Session, Colette was awake for the photos! You get a lot more character and personality when babies are awake, though it can be more challenging to get them to lay without a warm blanket wrapped around them keeping them comforted. It was worth it! Colette is still under a month old (with her 1 month approaching), so this little girl is spending most of her time getting to know her two new sisters and parents!
Unrelated to Colette's Session: Coming up in just a few days we're heading down to Indianapolis to photograph Megan & Nolan's wedding as the last wedding of October before we head into November next Wednesday! We'll be starting the day out photographing the men and women getting ready separately at the Omni hotel and then head over to the Biltwell to capture the ceremony and reception later in the day! We're so excited to work well into fall on these amazing weddings for our awesome clients and are excited to design and finish up a good amount more of physical wedding albums, print orders, and beautiful Keepsake Boxes!
Along with the weddings we still do Portrait Sessions (and rarely Event Photography) and coming up in November we're excited to share with you the Family Portrait Session of the Hooley family from this week in Goshen, Indiana, TWO separate Birthday Portrait Sessions of 100 year old George in New Carlslile and a 97 year old here in South Bend (today's her birthday!), some recent Senior Portrait Sessions, some more weddings, and finally family Christmas Portrait Sessions!! There are so many great things coming up that we can't wait to show you, so make sure to check in to our Weekly Wednesday EVERY week to see the recent Weddings and Portrait Sessions we've captured of those in our community, in Chicago, in Indianapolis, in Southern Michigan, and throwbacks to Ohio and California weddings we've captured! Thanks so much to past and present clients for eight wonderful years of beautiful weddings and great portrait sessions! We've loved writing these blogs for over two years to share with you the photo stories of our wonderful clients! Catch ya next Wednesday in our first day of November-!!
