This Weekly Wednesday we’re sharing with you the ANNUAL Diroll Grandkid Christmas Family Portrait Session captured by us in our studio! These 9 kids came in the week of Christmas for their annual Christmas Family Portrait Session amidst a week wherein we had 4 other huge Family Portrait Sessions that we were capturing! These cousins are some of the closest traveling annually to Arizona, South Carolina, Chicago, & a lake in Michigan together-! Coincidentally we’re also in Arizona for belated Christmas visiting immediate family this week and the grandparents (Jenny’s aunt & uncle) who have hired us to capture these annual portraits since 5 Christmases ago are actually here as well (and another of Jenny’s uncles & his wife actually happened to be on our flight out to Arizona over the weekend too)!
Without further adieu, the 2019 Diroll Grandkid Cousin Christmas Family Portraits!
One son John’s son & wife couldn’t make it for the Family Portrait Session, so after a few reschedulings with them, we photographed them 4 days later the day after Christmas AND Photoshopped them into the photos! Because of this, we are only featuring the best photos here because the process of Photoshopping people into a photo that they’re not already in isn’t quite an easy or quick process if you want it done accurately, professionally, and well at a high level.
Every year photographing these kids has gotten a bit easier since they obviously get older by the year (i.e. less squirmy in most cases)! It’s crazy to see them grow every year. Here are some of the past years that we’ve photographed for them first at their grandparents’ house where we set up our studio lights, then at their family business factory (with a backdrop printed in their factory and our props/ studio lights on stands, then in a cube we literally built by hand, and finally in our studio last year!
Since we captured 4 Sessions during Christmas week, we then spent the first few days of the New Year editing all of these while also completing 6 print orders/ shipping those out to clients last week! We finished editing the images last week and already shared them with their grandparents, but love sharing our client photos weekly on our Weekly Wednesday blog too!
Thanks so much for hiring us a 4th time, Mary Ellen! We love getting to see the kids grow and printing your large canvas annually! We hope that you love this year’s images and we’re happy that our schedules happened to align for our Annual Belated Immediate Family Christmas Trip this year with the handful of us in Arizona right now visiting with my immediate family-!
___________ Unrelated: Since our awesome petsitters have our 3 fur babies taken care of in our own home in Indiana, we continue on with our Belated Christmas immediate family visit in a couple days heading to California to see Jason’s immediate family! We’ll be driving a rental car there (something we haven’t done since 4 years ago) and are looking forward to a more casual drive this time- maybe stopping off to take professional photos as we drive through the deserts.
We worked in Indiana until just a few days ago shipping out client orders, editing photos, and chatting with couples whose weddings are set for 2020. Coming up on next week’s Weekly Wednesday blog post we’ll be sharing another recent Session we just captured for clients for a 30th Anniversary Surprise Party at Iron Hand Wine Bar (The Armory) which opened about a year & a half ago! **Make sure to check that out next Weekly Wednesday right before we head back to Indiana and our pets!
