Samantha's Therapist Professional Headshots in South Bend!

Coming up in just a few days we’ll be capturing a local 11 hour wedding at a barn venue, but before getting ready for that, we first want to share Therapist Headshots that we captured in the past couple weeks for Samantha! Samantha reached out to us from Granger this summer in search of Professional Headshots for her as she transitions her career over to private practice as a therapist. We were thrilled to have availability for her and sent over our magazine Headshots Guide & got her in the calendar! Since Samantha is in the field of Therapy she was looking for a warm nature backdrop, so we sent over images of our local top locations and she promptly chose her favorite location (opting for the green outdoors rather than our indoor studio).

Exactly 2 weeks ago we captured Samantha’s Therapist Headshots here in South Bend! Without further adieu, Samantha’s Professional Headshots:

To start the Session we went over early (to the small location that Samantha had chosen) to set up a studio light and reflectors and oy were we GLAD that we had! When Samantha and her husband arrived we were all shocked to find Tuesday evening WEDDING party portraits taking place right there (as well as Senior Portraits happening, other wedding photographers Location Scouting, and more)! For such a TINY location on a Tuesday that we had chosen at random (mid-week & before schools & colleges started to “ensure” no one else would be there), it became apparent just HOW much the Pandemic has pushed weddings and other things… causing even mid-weekdays to be overwhelmed with rescheduled WEDDINGS & portraits! We were shocked and bummed to have so many people around taking up so many spots feet from us in this tiny location, but were glad we had staked a claim to a spot already so that the wedding party couldn’t hog every spot that we’d pre-chosen.

Luckily as we captured Samantha’s 20 mintues of Headshots and it got closer to sunset, other folks started to leave and we moved locations further from the wedding party. Once we had more space away from all of the people we got to know both Samantha and her husband better learning that like us they’ve lived in many states already, aren’t originally from the area, and like us they enjoy the seasons here in the Midwest versus desert life/ constantly warmer spots.

We also learned that Samantha so far in her career has primarily worked with teens, kids, and more and that she and her husband met through their careers (and that he worked in a related field to hers)!

Samantha is now looking forward to a career in private practice as a Therapist hoping to utilize all of her past experience in therapy in this different scene. These two seem to have quite a bit of patience, professionalism, and life experiences and we know that they’ll both continue to help kids and folks who are struggling. With one of Jenny’s 3 degrees being Psychology and us always working on mental health, we can’t emphasize enough the importance of therapists and psychologists. Even though our society here in the U.S. doesn’t often promote mental health, it is by far one of THE most important aspects of life & health.

Thank you so much Samantha for having us capture your Headshots a couple weeks ago! We hope to get to spend more time with you two in a couple months to capture those Married/ Couple Portraits of you and your husband this fall and hope that you’re proudly displaying your new Professional Headshots for your job! We’ve loved getting to know you and your husband over the past month!

_______ Unrelated: Coming up in a few days we’ll be capturing Ashley & Nathan’s 11 hour wedding day at Meadow Brook Barn in Goshen! Their wedding ceremony will take place outside with their reception inside the barn following their Newlywed Portraits. We haven’t seen these two since capturing their Engagement Session last fall, so we’re excited to see them on their special day coming up in just 2.5 days! Make sure to check back in here next Weekly Wednesday for their Wedding Teasers from their big wedding day-!

The next couple weeks are pretty exciting for us personally as well! Tomorrow evening and part of Friday we’ll actually be celebrating our 6 Year Anniversary! We’ll be going to a drive-in movie, adventuring at a state park, & getting a meal to go (thanks to the Pandemic). Our puppy’s 1st Birthday is in less than a week and her dog sister Coco has her 4th Adoptaversary (6th? Birthday) the day right after we just realized. Jenny’s sister, brother-in-law, and nephew are visiting her parents here in about a week as well (with Jenny’s and her sister’s birthdays being 3 days apart the first week of September in a couple weeks), so after some intense photo editing and printing, packaging, and shipping (and celebrating 2 Pupversaries) next week, we’ll be spending time with a few immediate family members outside at a local lake for a week. With everything being so crazy this year, it’s nice to have things to celebrate… though we’ll be happy when we can finally go camping in nature serenity here soon as well!
